The NCE Summer Explorations program offers students entering grades 1–9 weeklong, half-day morning and full-day enrichment classes in July. There are classes in science, games and challenges, culture, fine art, crafts, writing, technology, engineering and more to appeal to the inquisitive, active, and creative child. All classes are taught by Needham Public Schools teachers and staff and other area public/private school teachers/staff. The relaxed and fun setting of Summer Explorations provides an excellent opportunity for children to develop new skills, make new friends and explore new interests!
Students participating in the full-day program bring their own lunch and enjoy a supervised lunch period with their friends. Participants in our full day programs will also enjoy a daily, 40-minute, gym-based, Fun and Games unit.
The program runs for four weeks, July 5–July 28. Students may register for classes in any or all of the weeks. Programs for rising grades 1–4 will take place at Sunita Williams Elementary School and programs for rising grades 5–9 will take place at High Rock Middle School.
