Preview of class dates. ** Note that class days and dates will vary. Needham Community Education (NCE) offers a variety of enrichment programs for grades 1-5 (Fall/Winter) and K-5 (Winter/Spring), located at all Needham Elementary schools. NCE provides students with joyful and educational opportunities in the areas of visual arts, active play, science exploration, chess, technology and beyond. If you are looking to support your student's interests in a space that is welcoming and inclusive, NCE is the place for you! Returning students are always welcome! Each session features new projects and activities. All classes are tailored to the grades and interests of the students. Please note that classes fill quickly. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Waitlist: If your preferred class is already full we encourage you to put your student's name on the waitlist -AND- consider registering for another class, as many classes are likely to fill up soon. If your student is able to be moved off the waitlist at any point in time we will be in touch, and make all the necessary adjustments. For Students in NEDP: Students enrolled in NEDP may also register for NCE Elementary classes. NEDP students will be escorted to NEDP at the end of their NCE class. Enrollment Policy: Students may only register for NCE classes at the school they currently attend, unless otherwise specified. Arrival: NCE will begin at the end of the school day. Students are dismissed to the designated NCE waiting area at their school, where they will be supervised by the NCE Onsite Coordinator until their NCE Instructor arrives. The Needham Community Education (NCE) Summer Explorations program offers weeklong enrichment classes in July for students entering grades 1-9. Summer Explorations is open to both Needham and Out-Of-District students. NCE offers engaging and educational opportunities in visual arts, robotics, active play, science exploration, cooking, creative writing, technology, and more, sparking curiosity and creativity in every student. Taught by highly qualified Needham Public Schools teachers, staff, and local professionals, our relaxed and fun environment lets students explore new interests, develop new skills, and collaborate with peers!
