  • Beginning Golf Clinic for Women

    Even if you have never swung a club, this clinic will provide you with the skills and confidence to play golf. The program will include instruction in the development of a full swing, plus short game fundamentals: putting, chipping and pitching. On the 3rd day, if the course is not in heavy use, participants will have the opportunity to play some holes. Equipment can be provided if needed. Program takes place, rain or shine.

  • Fly Fishing Fundamentals (In collaboration with the Needham Sportsman's Club)

    Fly fishing is a fun and rewarding method of fishing, and a relaxing way to enjoy the great outdoors! This program is for people who have little or no fly fishing experience. You will be introduced to the essential skills needed to get started in this sport, including: the fundamentals of fly fishing tackle, fly casting, knot tying, fishing techniques and fly selection. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to cast a fly and catch a fish. Bring your own equipment or borrow equipment provided by the Needham Sportsman’s Club. Participants must be aged 16 or older (or 12 and older accompanied by a parent). In the event of severe weather, the class will be moved to Sunday.

  • Mid-Week Yoga Stretch

    By mid-week, many of us are feeling the need to catch a little respite from the hustle and bustle of our lives. An hour of yoga will help us to unwind while improving our strength and our flexibility as well as calming our minds. This class is designed to safely support yoga students with a range of experience–from beginner to advanced. We will explore the benefits of a deliberate yoga practice through basic breathing, meditation and asana practice. Note: Please bring a yoga mat as well as blocks and strap if you have them. Please note: For the winter session, the dates have changed from those in the printed catalogs. There will be no class on March 18. A class has been added on March 25.

    This full-body strength class blends dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, medicine balls, and bodyweight movements to challenge every major muscle group. It’s more than a workout — it’s a connection of mind, body, and heart. You’ll leave feeling strong, centered, and ready to take on anything. Whether you are an experienced weight trainer or a complete novice, you will be welcomed, supported and inspired to achieve your strength training goals. Limited to 12.
  • Waltz and Foxtrot

    Come learn the two basic ballroom dances. Once you have gotten these dances down, the world is your oyster! The same patterns are taught in both dances but each has a slightly different rhythm. Do you want to dance at weddings or other events instead of feeling awkward on the sidelines? Learn why it is so much fun to dance with a partner and move to the music as if you are one. This class is open to singles and partners. Students may rotate partners, but aren't required to do so. Previous students are encouraged to register in order to improve their skills and gain confidence. Dance shoes with suede soles preferred, leather-soled shoes are okay, rubber soles don't often turn as well.
