Calling all young bakers! This class is a delicious adventure into the world of baking. Learn the secrets behind creating tasty masterpieces as we explore a variety of recipes, discover how different ingredients work together, experiment with new flavors, and practice essential baking techniques. From mixing and measuring to decorating and frosting, you'll get hands-on experience creating yummy goodies. We'll also compile all our creations into a class recipe book to take home for future baking! Allergy Alert: Children will be eating and/or working with food (including popular allergens such as wheat, dairy, soy, sesame and eggs). No nuts are used in our projects, however, project materials may have been produced in a facility that also processes nuts. Please alert us to any food allergies when registering. ‘Kidcasters’ is your chance to turn your passions into podcasts! Whether you're a gaming enthusiast, a budding comedian, a storyteller, a playwright, or a music lover, we'll help you transform your ideas into captivating audio content. Together, we'll brainstorm concepts, develop scripts, and master the art of recording and editing sound. From the initial idea to the final product, you'll gain hands-on experience in every aspect of podcast production, including marketing and distribution. By the end of the class, you'll have a live podcast episode ready to share with the world and the tools to create and publish your own audio adventures. Note: This class is located at Sunita Williams Elementary School for Grades 4-6

‘Lego Builders Club’ invites budding architects and imaginative builders to unleash their creativity while exploring the endless possibilities of LEGO bricks! From constructing towering skyscrapers and intricate vehicles to creating fantastical creatures and imaginative worlds, students will learn valuable engineering concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and foster teamwork and collaboration. With a focus on creativity, imagination, and fun, this class provides a space for students to celebrate themselves, their ideas and one another.

Become a water engineer! This class explores the properties and power of water through exciting design challenges. Learn to design a boat that can hold weight, find the perfect "flink" weight, design and build water filters, and construct and test dams made of different materials. We'll focus on the engineering design process: build, test, revise, and learn from our results. Get ready to get creative and maybe a little wet! Note: Students are encouraged to bring a change of clothes as we will get wet in this class.

Immerse yourself in a magical week at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, delving into the enchanting world of Harry Potter. Experience the excitement of being sorted into one of four iconic houses—Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff—by the Sorting Hat. Get ready to compete for the prestigious House Cup as you participate in activities such as crafting house shields, wands, potions, owls, snakes, brooms, wizard notebooks, winged keys, wizard masks, and perhaps even a thrilling game of Quidditch. Embark on a journey filled with wonder and adventure as you uncover the secrets of the wizarding world.
