In this class, we’ll break down the key components of the college financing system in plain language. You’ll learn how income and assets are considered on the FAFSA and CSS Profile, the difference between need-based and merit-based aid, and how to interpret a college’s sticker price versus its true net price. We’ll also look at common mistakes families make, strategies for maximizing eligibility, appealing an offer, and comparing schools that use different financial formulas. This interactive presentation will help you navigate current trends impacting body image and eating patterns in today’s youth. Participants will come away with accurate information, tools for talking with children & adolescents about food and body as well as techniques for fostering healthy body image and reasonable eating patterns in today’s challenging culture. Appropriate for parents, grandparents, caretakers, educators and other involved adults supporting youth development.
