Explore old & new hobbies, expand your mind, and engage with classmates!! The Needham Community Education (NCE) Middle School Programs offers high quality enrichment classes that appeal to all students. 

These fun classes, taught by Needham Public Schools staff and other qualified professionals, enable students to extend their learning beyond the classroom in a relaxed & social environment.

Refund Policy: Participants may withdraw from a class and receive a refund, less a $15.00 processing fee, if you notify NCE on or before 2-weeks from the start of class. Refunds are made by check from the Town of Needham and may take up to four weeks to arrive by mail. No credits or refunds can be given after the deadline date, once a class begins, or for missed classes.

Tournament of Champions -- Multi-Game Activity (Grades 6 - 8 early release day)

Ready to compete? In this two-day Tournament of Champions, students will face off in a variety of sports and activities. On early release days, we'll transform the gym into an arena for friendly competition, focusing on fun, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Each day will feature a mix of classic sports and unique challenges. This class is for all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to run around and have fun, you'll have a chance to shine and show off your skills. Please BYO lunch and check in at the cafeteria immediately after school for a 30 min lunch period. *High Rock students must get themselves to Pollard

Are you ready to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge your way to victory? Join us for the ultimate Dodgeball Tournament! This high-energy class will test your agility, speed, and accuracy as you compete in thrilling matches. Whether you're a seasoned dodgeball pro or a first-time player, everyone is welcome to join the fun. Get ready for two days of friendly competition.

Magic: The Gathering (Grade 6)

Magic: The Gathering is a fun and exciting trading card game where you work on strategizing, thinking critically and getting creative. In Magic: The Gathering you get to cast spells, play awesome creatures, and engage in magical combat where you attack, trick, defend, and hopefully defeat your opponent. Everyone is welcome! Beginners: we will have everything you need - Ms. Dunleavy will teach you how to play. Experienced players: you are welcome to bring your own decks.

Dungeons & Dragons with Portal to Adventure (Grades 6th - 8th- early release day)

Embark on a thrilling Dungeons & Dragons adventure. Join us for a two-day D&D class during early release days, where you'll learn the basics of character creation, storytelling, and dice rolling. Over these classes, you'll collaborate with fellow adventurers to craft a unique character, explore fantastical realms, and overcome exciting challenges. No prior experience is necessary – just bring your imagination and a sense of adventure! *Students will need to get themselves to the Portal to Adventure studio in Needham Center.

Sugar Rush Studio @ Treat Cupcake Bar (Grades 6-8 evening class)

Get ready to whip up some fun in our 4-week baking and decorating class! Each evening, you'll dive into a different delicious project, learning awesome skills to impress your friends and family. Ever wanted to make perfect cake pops? Or create cupcakes that look like they belong in a bakery window? We've got you covered! You'll also master the art of baking and decorating sugar cookies that are almost too pretty to eat. Plus, we'll get into the holiday spirit with at least one festive-themed class during the session. *All classes will be utilizing wheat, dairy, and egg products *Students will need to get themselves to Treat Cupcake Bar in Needham Center.
