The Needham Community Education (NCE) Summer Explorations program offers students entering grades 1–9 weeklong, enrichment classes in July. We offer classes on science, games and challenges, robotics, fine art, crafts, imaginative play, technology, fitness, engineering, collaborative games, and more to appeal to the inquisitive, active, and creative student. All classes are taught by Needham Public Schools teachers, staff and local education professionals. The relaxed and fun setting of Summer Explorations provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop new skills, make new friends and explore new interests!*Summer Explorations is open to Needham and non-Needham residents*

Grade ranges represent the grade that your child will be entering in the Fall of 2025.
Rising 10, 11 & 12 grade high school students can earn community service credit hours through this weekly program. - info to come
Scholarship assistance is available: No student will be denied access into an NCE program due to an inability to pay. Families experiencing financial hardship may apply for 60% off one NCE class per session, per child. If you have completed the District’s Free and Reduced Meal application the student may receive 85% off one NCE class.
