In this hands-on class, students will become creators, designers, makers, and outdoor explorers. Students will tackle building challenges, creative design projects, and team-based outdoor quests each week.

From prototyping inventions with natural and recycled materials to mastering brick-building design challenges to navigating outdoor scavenger hunts, students will collaborate in ways that stretch their imagination. It’s the ultimate mix of maker space, nature expedition, and team challenge - built for curious minds who love to design, play, and make.

5 classes total

NCE begins immediately at the end of the school day. All students enrolled in an NCE class (including those in NEDP) will be dismissed from their classroom to the designated NCE waiting area, where they will be supervised by the NCE Onsite Coordinator until their NCE Class Instructor arrives. Students are welcome to have a nut-free snack during this time.

Pickup is promptly at 4:25pm. NEDP students will be escorted to NEDP at the end of their NCE class.
