Private Music Lessons
Hearing loss is a common affliction, yet most of us know little about it. This program will educate you on the auditory system and hearing loss. With the recent availability of over-the-counter hearing aids, the instructor will provide valuable information on the difference between those you can buy in a store or online and those that audiologists offer.
Derek Stiles, PhD is the Director of the Center for Communication Enhancement at Boston Children's Hospital. His background is in pediatric audiology and the relationship between hearing aids and language outcomes in children with hearing loss. He has worked as an audiologist, a professor, and a healthcare administrator for over 20 years between California, Iowa, Illinois and Massachusetts. In his spare time, he enjoys learning the accordion and playing with his twins.
