Paula Lyon-Green began a lifelong love of museums as a little girl growing up in New York City. Though her studies and subsequent professional life were in psychology, she has always felt most at home in museums. She moved to Needham in the late ‘70s, sharing this passion for art museums with her friends and family, including her two sons who attended the Needham Public Schools K-12. In addition to her long career working in psychology, she began studying art history formally in the early 2000s by becoming a docent at both the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum & the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and has continued to give tours for over 20 years. Now, having recently left the medical field, she has even more time for studying art history and sharing it with fellow art enthusiasts.
