Private Music Lessons
Experience the satisfying craft of wet felting as you create your very own handmade bag. This workshop provides an opportunity to work with natural wool fibers, hand spun yarns, silk and more. You'll be guided step-by-step through the process of laying out fibers, felting, and fulling to achieve a strong, seamless, and stylish bag. While it serves as a fun introduction to wet felting, all skill levels are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to rock and roll (literally!). Felting is very rewarding, but can be time consuming. Feel free to bring something to eat and drink during class to replenish your creative energy! A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class. Limited to 12.
Chelsea Brown created the felt pumpkin sculptures featured on promotional materials for the current NCE Adult session. She is a self-taught wool artist and art instructor who studied textile design and drafting at MassArt. Her wool creations can be found in her Etsy store, Kekii Crafts: Etsy.com/shop/kekiicrafts.
