East Coast Swing is the easiest partner dance, and so much fun! Get your feet moving with the dance that became popular in the era of big band and poodle skirts. You will learn the basic patterns in single-step. Then, you will master the same steps to slower music with triple-step swing timing. If you long to show your friends, neighbors and relatives that you can dance, this dance is for you! This class is open to singles and partners. This class is open to singles and partners. Students may rotate partners, but aren't required to do so. Previous students are encouraged to register in order to improve their skills and gain confidence. Dance shoes with suede soles preferred, leather-soled shoes are okay, rubber soles don't often turn as well.
