Demystifying Financial Aid

Adult Education / Private School, college and grad school application related programs -
Adult WS2026

Paying for college can feel overwhelming—but understanding how college costs actually work can make a big difference. In this class, we’ll break down the key components of the college financing system in plain language. You’ll learn how income and assets are considered on the FAFSA and CSS Profile, the difference between need-based and merit-based aid, and how to interpret a college’s sticker price versus its true net price. We’ll also look at common mistakes families make, strategies for maximizing eligibility, appealing an offer, and comparing schools that use different financial formulas. You’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of how to reduce college costs and make informed financial decisions for your family. Limited to 30.
