Don't get sacked at the Superbowl Party,...kick off your knowledge of the game so that you can begin enjoying what everyone else is so excited about. You will learn enough of football basics and rules to be able to follow along. The instructor will also provide some newsy tidbits about what is going on this season, and some behind the scenes insights including who is favored to win and why. If time allows, you will even learn a bit about betting on games.
Jean McCormick was the first female studio producer at ESPN. She joined the network in January, 1990. During her six and a half years, she helped create and launch two long-running programs: Sunday SportsDay with Robin Roberts and Outside the Lines, a documentary series, with Bob Ley. She also produced a number of SportsCenters. She earned seven Emmy Awards and two Cable Ace Awards during her time there. She later wrote a book, "Talk Sports like a Pro: 99 Secrets to Becoming a Sports Goddess." Over the years, she has held positions in several venture-backed sports startups. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and Harvard Business School.
