Ornamental trees and landscape plantings can rapidly outgrow their allotted spaces leading to crowding, shading, and loss of vigor. Pruning will reshape and reinvigorate their growth. This hands-on course will cover: 1) visual planning of which cuts to make and why; 2) safe use of hand tools to remove dead wood and excessive growth.
Peter Hauschka has a Ph.D. in biology andis a retired Harvard University faculty member. He has enjoyed organic gardening for decades and has also been a beekeeper for many years.
