Dreaming of sun-soaked islands, seaside tavernas, and cool glasses of wine by the water? Join us for a summer journey through Greece’s vibrant wine scene. In this class, we’ll explore some of the country’s most exciting indigenous grapes, starting with refreshing whites like Assyrtiko and Moschofilerio—known for their bright acidity, citrusy aromas, and mineral character that make them perfect for warm-weather sipping. Then we’ll dive into Greece’s bold and expressive reds, including Xinomavro and Agiorgitiko, grapes that offer everything from savory structure to juicy, spice-driven fruit. Along the way, we’ll discuss Greece’s unique wine regions, ancient winemaking traditions, and why these distinctive varieties are capturing the attention of wine lovers around the world. Whether you’re discovering Greek wine for the first time or are already a fan, this class is the perfect way to explore the flavors of the Mediterranean—no passport required. Wine will be served along with Baker's Best Mezze Platter: marinated feta, grilled cumin zucchini, olives, mini falafels, red pepper-feta dip, hummus, and tahini with pita. Note: A $20 wine fee is payable in class. Limited to 30. 

Chelsea Bell

Instructor

Chelsea Bell is a Certified Sommelier with over a decade of experience hosting and organizing fine wine events of all sorts and sizes. Her signature approach to teaching wine combines unbridled enthusiasm and effortless hospitality with vinous expertise. Chelsea has traveled to many of the world’s top wine destinations including Italy, France, and California and always continues her thirst for new knowledge. While working with Gordon’s Wine as the Director of Marketing & Events, she has developed walk-around tastings for hundreds of beverage enthusiasts, corporate events, seminars, dinners with the goal in mind of making wine fun for the novice and the expert alike!
