Financial Literacy for Women

Adult Education / Invest and Plan -
Adult Fall 2026

This class will equip you with important skills to understand and manage money including budgeting, saving and investing, credit and debt. At any age and phase of life, it is important to know the basics of finance and overcome barriers or fears to grasp those skills. Limited to 12.

Instructors

Judi Seldin

Instructor

Judi Seldin has taught and coached financial literacy to 9th graders and to women. She has been a VP of finance, a CFO, and a COO for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Judi has an undergraduate degree in Economics and an MBA. Judi believes it is important for young people and women, in particular, to know how to budget and to manage money.

Joanna Stavins

Joanna has experience teaching and coaching financial literacy to women of all ages. She served for 30 years as an economist and policy advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank and has a PhD in economics.
