Spend a Saturday afternoon exercising your creativity by giving watercolor painting a try. Explore brush strokes, water to pigment ratios for value studies on wet and dry paper, with small flat and/or graded washes applied to a flower image (for our main project). If time allows, we will learn and practice techniques for painting a sky-scape with clouds. All techniques will be demonstrated step-by-step and assistance and encouragement is offered continually during the class. The instructor will provide the materials. Note: A $15 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class. Limited to 12.
Sally Meding PhD has been painting in watercolor for 32 years and teaching adults for 20 years. She is a signature member of the New England, South Western and Rhode Island Watercolor Societies and has received awards for her work from all 3 societies.
