Cake Decorating

Please note: The instructor, class fee and materials fee has changed since the catalogs went to print. And, students must now bring their own cake to decorate.

Learn to decorate a cake like a pro in this hands-on workshop. Start by leveling and frosting your cake. Then practice applying just the right amount of pressure to the decorating bag to pipe flowers, leaves, and other embellishments. Leave with your decorated cake and the skills to make a unique custom confection for your next celebration. Icing and decorating tools are provided. Please note: Bring a single-layer cake (6, 7, or 8 inch round) and a cake carrier or box to transport your finished product, and an apron if you'd like. A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class. Limited to 12.

Sandra Frezza

Instructor

Sandra Frezza is an award winning cake artist. She’s the owner of Sandra’s Sweet Sensations in Boston, and enjoys bringing her creative vision to life through her specialty cakes, cupcakes & cookies. She also loves sharing her knowledge with others! Sandra has served as a Cake Show Competition Judge, she is an International Cake Exploration Societé Approved Teacher, and served as the President/State Representative of the MA/NH Chapter. Sandra is also a Certified Wilton Instructor and was inducted into the Wilton Hall of Fame in 2013. Sandra teaches private and school based classes in various mediums (buttercream, royal icing, fondant, and gumpaste). She also participates in Icing Smiles, a nonprofit that provides free custom cakes for critically ill children.
