Needham Community Education

This class is perfect for those who want to explore traditional art forms while also experimenting with new materials. We'll start with foundational skills like drawing and painting, then playfully twist them by incorporating unexpected objects and materials. We'll explore how to add texture and dimension to our work using everyday items like magazines, cardboard, and outdoor treasures. From creating layered collages to building sculptures from unconventional materials, you'll learn to push boundaries and find your unique artistic voice, creating truly original art. Whenever possible, we will also take advantage of the increasingly nice weather, using the outdoors as a workspace and a source of inspiration!

12 classes total

NCE begins immediately at the end of the school day. All students enrolled in an NCE class (including those in NEDP) will be dismissed from their classroom to the designated NCE waiting area, where they will be supervised by the NCE Onsite Coordinator until their NCE Class Instructor arrives. Students are welcome to have a nut-free snack during this time.

Pickup is promptly at 4:00pm. NEDP students will be escorted to NEDP at the end of their NCE class.
