In Jewelry, Crafts, & Conversation, you'll dive into the world of creative expression! We'll start by mastering the fundamentals of beading and stringing to craft stunning, personalized jewelry—from casual to chic, sparkly to funky. You'll experiment with different bead styles, colors, and textures to create one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect your unique personality. You'll learn essential finishing techniques like using clasps, jump rings, and knotting to give all your creations a polished, professional touch.

But the fun doesn't stop at jewelry! You'll also have opportunities to use your creative skills with other exciting materials and projects. Occasionally, we'll introduce techniques from fiber arts (like simple weaving) drawing, or sculpting. The fundamental skills you master here—design, color theory, and fine motor control—are tools for a wide range of artistic endeavors, and we'll always provide chances for experimentation.

More than just a workspace, this is a fun, collaborative spot where the music is playing, the ideas are flowing, and the "gab sesh" is always lively! Come make new friends, share your inspiration, and get creative in this welcoming, upbeat environment!

12 classes total

NCE begins immediately at the end of the school day. All students enrolled in an NCE class (including those in NEDP) will be dismissed from their classroom to the designated NCE waiting area, where they will be supervised by the NCE Onsite Coordinator until their NCE Class Instructor arrives. Students are welcome to have a nut-free snack during this time.

Pickup is promptly at 4:25pm. NEDP students will be escorted to NEDP at the end of their NCE class.
