Private Music Lessons
Wicker weaving is a style of weave that involves the use of multiple weavers together to create an interlocking pattern which results in added strength to the completed item. This class introduces a simple wicker weaving technique. You will complete a wicker biscuit/roll basket using four strands of rattan at the same time. Note: Basket weaving requires manual dexterity. A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class. Limited to 6.
William Krier grew up in Lancaster County, PA, amongst the Amish community. He began weaving baskets in the 1980’s and has been practicing and teaching his craft since then. William focuses on wicker basket weaving.
